The Common Room is a new brand developed by Design at Source, working closely with their client, Sodexo. The concept has been created to offer a quality, all-day venue, that can compete with any high street chain.
The Common Room offers an on-base retreat to meet the needs of any of the working men and women of the armed forces, together with their families, whether they be personnel in the Army, or RAF.
The brand delivers a casual drinking and dining experience throughout the day, from morning breakfasts, mid-morning coffees and pastries, through to lunch and evening meals, in a family friendly atmosphere.
The collection of visual cues helps to give the venue that much needed casual appearance, whether that be ceiling panels, depicting a nod to the helicopters flying from the base, or the playful, wall graphics re-enforcing the brands raison d’être. The venue has been zoned to reflect the needs of the product on offer, from socially grouped, high stools, for morning coffee and evening drinks, to more intimate armchair settings, for lunches and evening meals.
